Nadia, you started The Sweetest Thing Confection (TSTC) when you had a job and now it’s your only job – when and how did you make the transition?
I was stuck on making this decision for a long time. I was miserable at my full time gig and knew that in order to really make a go at my own business I would have to do it 110% and see where it took me. Throw Covid into the mix and there was no better time to move on and take the plunge! I just didn’t have the time otherwise to dedicate to a website that needed endless hours of updating and product intros that needed time and attention.
What are you plans for moving into the future with TSTC?
We have some big things in store but of course like with any big initiative there are weeks of planning and work that now have to go into it before we get there. I’m pretty excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to see where it takes us. We are always looking for ways to reinvent ourselves and to serve people who are just as innovative and original! There is a lot to be said for someone who can start a trend – it’s definitely not easy and there a lot of questionable products out there.When everyone goes left, we try to go right.
What is new an exciting that you will be working on in 2022 that you can tell us about?
New innovations, designs and layouts for all of the events coming back this year! That’s all I can say right now!
What are you using right now?
I’m really into the Dosecann CBD 100 Oil at the moment and edibles of course! The oil is helping me with my headaches and of course they are fierce with the change in schedules and being in front of a computer screen about 12 hours a day. The THC Hash Hot Chocolate from Malahat Mountain was great and I fell in love with the Nuance bath bombs, which have helped me relax before sleep. Amazing!
